  2. My sister-in-law refused to eat our boudin the other day because she said she was a snob about what boudin she eats. She will only eat boudin from New Iberia. Is she full of it or is New Iberia/surrounding areas known for their boudin?
  3. She's full of it :)

  6. Everybody has his own special taste. For many folks, dirty rice is not dirty rice unless it has liver in it. I won't even come into a room where liver is being cooked. You can serve hamburger dirty rice to me anyday. I'm fairly easy on white boudin, too.

  7. Porche's in French Settlement use to have some good boudin. Haven't bought any from there in awhile. Bergeron's in Port Allen isn't too bad. I prefer fried boudin balls from Tony's.

Do they sell blood boudin anywhere these days? Is it even legal to sell that stuff?

It's amazing I eat any pork after watching my grandfather butcher hogs. Nothing was wasted. Real hogs head cheese and blood boudin. YUM! :hihi:
  8. Good boudin will give ya some KILLA vurps.....:hihi:
  9. i have never had boudin. yes, i know that is weird. my family isnt from LA and i have only really had cajun food at restaurants. boudin appears to be the kinda thing you get at cajun bodegas.

a couple years ago the word was on the national spelling bee.
