    Michigan had not been particularly successful (by Mich standards) prior to Bo's hiring. Bo's influence on the program was enormous. While others may have won more national titles, no program has had the sustained success over as many years with different coaches as Michigan. Bo was the architect and driver of this success. We've lost a great one.

    Les Miles, being from Ohio and an OSU fan, wanted to go their, but he hated how Woody Hayes had such a violent temper (ditto there). So, that's when he made his way to Michigan.

    True he never won a national title but he did win 13 conference titles.
