Couple of others they could have included:

    Terry Baker - Oregon State

    Gary Beban - UCLA

Gino Torretta comes to mind. He won the Heisman, then played terrible in the Sugar Bowl when Alabama beat Miami for the National Title. Did he even go to the NFL? I believe now he is an insurance salesman.

That SI list pretty much sums up anyone I would think of. I think it just goes to show that the Heisman is not as big of a deal a lot of people make it out be.

What about Tony Mandarich he was an absolute beast in college and he got whipped in the pros. Also, Rashaan Salaam from Colorado, he sucked in the pros.:tigerhead

No its not, as it turns out they simply became bigger and bigger busts in chronological order ! Amazing how that happened.

I would have to vote for Archie Griffin as the biggest bust because he won the heisman twice yet still failed in the pros.

To be a bust that means you were excected to be a good pro. That eliminates White and Crouch. I would say Ron Dayne is the biggest Hiesman bust. He set the world on fire in college and hasn't shown much in the NFL. I'm too young to comment on the older Heisman busts.

Biggest Bust= Ryan Leaf... but he didn't win the Heisman, so biggest Heisman Bust= Danny Weurffel (sp) from UF...

He was maybe handicapped from being a Saint though! hahha

Yea, that's what I was thinking too...especially at a position that traditionally translates well to the NFL (unlike QB.)

I don't know about Ron Dayne. Maybe I've just got too much of a soft spot for the big running back, but he might pan out in Denver.
