BIGGEST LSU REGULAR SEASON WIN SINCE I CAN'T REMEMBER WHEN!!

Things looked shaky to me at the half, but, MY GOSH, the Lady Tigers took control of the game and never looked back.

What a great win! I have NEVER been more proud of a LSU Tiger sports team.
I have NEVER been more in love with a LSU Tiger head coach.

Great defensive effort: 10 blocked shots, 11 steals, holding Vols to 31% shooting...that was key.

Sylvia ruled the boards while Seimone and Schlonda had great scoring games. Tillie was 4 of 4!!

Really, LSU wasn't out rebounded that badly. The Vols had 8 "Team boards" which usually happen after a missed front end of a bonus free throw shot or if a shot misses but goes off the defensive player. LSU had only 1 team rebound so the "Actual" rebounding stats were 37-34 in favor of Tennessee.

Pokey didn't go very deep basically using 6 people. Quiana and Florence put in 3 minutes a piece. That means the 6 were in pretty good shape.

    Interesting Comparison:
    Sylvia: 7 points, 17 boards, 5 blocks, 0 TOs: VOl Frosh (3): 8 points, 17 boards, 1 block, 6 TOs

Football excluded, that was the most fun I've had at an LSU sporting event in ages! Geaux Lady Tigers!

The speed of their overall game is a LOT faster in person. Very very impressive passing, back door cuts, etc etc. Wow, can't wait to see them again!

Did anyone else who went to the game see Miles on the big screen? His daughter was sprawled out on him asleep. Kinda odd to see a LSU football coach so avidly supporting the other sports programs.

Funny how we see things differently. After Tennessee scored the 3 virtually undefended, I commented that these players should have known better than to let that happen. It didn't occur to me that it was a coaching blunder because I assumed that Pokey told them otherwise.

Did anyone else hear that Temeka was talking to Tack before last night's mens' game giving him pointers. Seriously, I heard that happened.

    Carface What the...?

I kept looking over at him since he was sitting near the sidelines. I noticed her out cold, too.

After the game we're walking by and he almost runs us over backing up in his Lincoln Navigator.

    I'll be that guy.

I thought the Lady Tigers played a very sloppy game. Temeka Johnson was out of control most of the night during the transition game. Sure she had her moments where she made it to the basket in transtition for a layup but mostly she was ineffective in the offense. She had 5 points going into the final 4 minutes until the Volsl started fouling. All of her points came at the end of the shot clock after the offensive set, and I use this loosely, didn't pan out.

If not for Simone hitting the J like crazy and Hoston being hot from 3 point range, I think the Tigers would have been hard pressed to win this game.

Where was Candace Parker? The supposed All American freshman that could dunk... she didn't even get off the bench.

Also, my views could be because I wasn't sitting in my traditional men's student section seat in prime viewing area. I was with 2 of my friends that bought tickets in the last row. The game just doesn't look as impressive from so far away.

One other thing.... Fowles should be starting. It makes no sense that a girl that got 17 boards and 5 blocks should be coming off the bench. Even if she plays 30 minutes a game, she should be a starter.
