I have Directv. The local channels will not allow them to broadcast the local high def programming through the satellite, only the non HD broadcast. I had to put up an antenna to get the local HD. I'm watching the local Fox HD here in Baton Rouge. The OTA broadcasts are not compressed as badly as the dishes do so the quality is actually better.
