BCS: Love it or hate it, a playoff system couldn't be this exciting. So many games have so many implications at the end of the season. When is the last time any of you were on the edge of you seat watchi WV and R after 10pm on a sat night?

True it makes it exciting, but it is unfair.

I would argue that the bcs works. It just works poorly. Take a look at the NC every year since the bcs started. I believe, and I think most people would, that the best team won the bsc trophy. It could be much better, but it works better than the old system.

It needs some changes as here and there. I would love a small BCS playoff but I want to keep the intensity of every game. We will have a BCS system for a long time with the number of viewers watching games they never would in the past. That = $$$$ and excitement.

Exciting? Are you kidding me? How exciting would it be if you knew LSU was about to play for a chance at winning a national championship?

    The BCS is stupid crap.

Feels more like rolling dice than straight up head-to-head football.

    Time for the shrink, dude.

You know, driving down the road with my eyes closed IS exciting.

    But it's not very intelligent.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Why they just don't take the 4 winners of the BCS bowls and have a 2 game playoff? This is the easiest way to preserve the lesser bowl games and ensure the intensity of the regular season games still count and that they matter. There would still be minor controversy as to who gets the at-large bids to the BCS games, but at least a champion would be decided on the field.

What's so hard about doing this? It takes care of all the arguments we've heard about why there can't be a playoff except the extra games.

Totally agree, in at least a top 4 playoff system LSU will be talking about NC chances instead of playing for 2nd place. BCS is a good system to rank opponents because it takes account many variables, but just to limit the final chance to play for a NC to only 2 teams when there are more teams with a legit argument is dumb.

This is my preferred method as well for a playoff system. Simple and painless. What more could you ask for?
