Man, I thought that our offense would be the problem this year, not our pitching. It kind of surprised me to see Stetson rough-up Furbush Friday night, and I figured it an anomaly, but then Stetson turns it up a couple more notches and smashes Coleman today! I'm not in panic mode yet, but I really expected LSU to be 5-0 right now. Wins/losses mean very little at this point, but wow! The last two games have provoked me to look further into this Stetson team...

Yea they usually are pretty good, but still, they're not quite SEC caliber. That actually makes this series a very good one. Let's see how CPM adjusts and uses this series to build for the season.

Not as an excuse because obvisously it didn't effect Stetson to badly but it was freezing cold and the winds were 15-20 mph with gusts up to 35. It was a miserable weekend for baseball!!! But at least I got to see an LSU baseball game even though it wasn't real exciting!!!

I really think we are going have to give the new coach and staff some time. I think it will be a couple of years before the new systems and coaching methods start to show promise -- LSU's recruiting under Turtle suffered because of the staff's inability to select players that would acutally end up on a college campus instead of going directly into a pro farm system out of high school. However, I will be interested to see how we progress and improve over the season under the new training and coaching methods.
