    thank you mr proofreader.

it really does bother me and what is funny to mike tirico and scott van pelt hammered espn all day today about the negative stuff and off the field issues they go with instead of actual games. and they are right.

Dammit, an entire hour lead in show for the Oregon/Arizona game was of course preempted for the Barry Bonds Circus Show.

Was this on ESPN radio? I thought I heard them on XM radio today talking about this.

Yep. Apparently everyone has gotten the message but some suit.

Seriously? Four years of federal prosecutor time over an entertainment-enhancement? That's really how you want them to spend millions of dollars? Wow, I guess some folks have more money to burn than others.

I'm also ticked off that we'll have to hear even more breathless reporting about this story, rather than legit sports news.

This is by far the biggest tragedy that's gonna come from this.

THESE MOFOS PRE-EMPTED PTI FOR THIS JUNK! How in the blue hell do we need a half hour of analysis over a freaking indictment for an entertainment-enhancing substance??? ESPN manages to churn out 30 minutes of good TV a day, and they preempt it for more of their same garbage. I'll finally say it: DAMN BARRY BONDS!!!

You left out the WORST part of ESPN's coverage. Halftime tonight was completely dedicated to Barry and A-rod. However, they did cut away for Granny to give his pep talk. :insane:

    Absolutely inexplicable on all counts.

    1) Barry -- it's a freaking indictment, not a conviction and it doesn't involve kiddie porn or dog fighting, so nobody cares

    2) A-Rod -- I'm a big fan, but only ESPN cares about hot stove junk for baseball at this level. Hell, I'm a Yankees fan, was excited by his return and still don't want to hear another word about it for a few months.

    3) The most inexplicable. How does Holtz have a job anywhere, much less talking CFB? He would be better served hosting a tampon v. maxipad telecast on the Oxygen network than talking about CFB on "the worldwide leader in sports" channel.
