1. No one mentions that our very next possesion with good field position ended up in a punt, so we did not convert.
No one mentions the fact that when Penningtion made that 40 something yard throw in the 1st qtr that set up the first score, the replay shows that the receiver used the ground to trap the ball and even came loose but he closed his elbow to stop the ball from actually getting on the ground. Wihtout that, we hold them to a FG.
So basically what goes around, comes around.
My friend watching ESPN said the announcers admitted after looking at the replay that "maybe Corey Webster didn't push off" His reaction was that it was a flop and resulted in a no call.

  2. a case can certainly be made it was a flop after seeing the replay. anyone who says no way is just trying to take an anti LSU stance or is biased. It certainly looks like he barely touched him yet we are still lucky they didn't throw the flag because 9 of 10 times its called.
  3. doesn't wash. those dogs dont hunt. Who's to say that had the call been made, they scored, we STILL did what we had to do and momentum STILL went back to the tigers. That's VERY likey, seeing how THEIR defense was worn down in the 4th. so basically, give bammer their score, we still win. 26-17 is still a win for the Tigers. All things being equal. So did that "no call" ruin their game? :dis:

I'd say Joe Adiaa ruined their day......... people look past the play and see the whole dahm game sheeeshhhhhhh

I can't believe you'd see it like this man, come on... ok whatever....

    cya
  4. Momentum has a shifty way of changing the way teams play.

If Bama scores a TD or a FG, who knows what happens. Granted, I still think we win but you never know in the SEC
  5. Wow! I finally got to see a replay of the "no call" and I don't think there was a call to make. Both players had their hands on each other. Webster happened to have his hands on the bammer when he tripped on his own feet. I guess it really could've gone either way but the bammer didn't get pushed to the ground, that's evident on the replay.
  6. The excuses never stop. According to the Bammers, we were holding the intended receiver on this play. That's why Penninton never threw the ball. :dis: Like you said though, he could've thrown it was Whatever, Bammers....

In addition to some of the things already mentioned, another huge play that went against Bammer where the officials had no bearing on the play was the pass that was behind a wide open receiver in the end zone that made them settle for a field goal.
  7. Screw 'em. It's a bad call, ok, that's called adversity. They couldn't deal with it under their theory. Not our problem. Besides, LSU smashed them in the mouth after that call. That's life. The win is legit. It wasn't like a presidential election or anything.
  8. Assuming a lot...

Your assuming that Bama scores a TD...why and how? Why do you think everything up to that point was legitimate and everything after that point was illegitimate? Webster's return had nothing to do with Pennington fumbling the football or Cameron Vaughn returning it for a TD. Your talking dymanics or semantics....so I will too. Ok, then give Bama a TD and it's 17-6, and I'll even take away the Vaughn TD. But I won't take away the Joe Addai TDs...then that makes the total 20-17, LSU still wins. Again, this so-called "bad no-call" didn't cost Bama the game. Just like the call in the Kansas game didn't cost the JayHawks the game. Kansas still could've played some defense and stopped Vince Young from picking up a 4th and 18....again one call or no-call does not a game make.

By the way :geaux: and.... Go to Hell :eek:lefire:
  9. I guess just to be fair what about the saftey LSU should have had when the Bama QB should have been called for grounding the ball? Just something to add in..........
  10. Worse Bama game call 99 with LSU on the bama 1 the refs waiving to stop the clock for bama injuries and the homecooking time keeper running out the clock.Worse call ever take your pick of a couple in this years Auburn game, may have cost LSU a repeat
