What's wrong with zone? I like the fact that scores in college are not in the 100-150 range like the pros.
I don't think many teams can recruit the necessary players required to play an effective zone. I also don't think people realize how tight the relationship has to be between players(nh). They all need to be in the exact correct spot every time the ball is passed. Just like zone football coverage, if the safety cheats, he gets beat, and it's a TD. Also, hypothetically, if every player recruited 4 years ago stayed, plus Wes Johnson for 1 year, they would have 5 players starting that are all in the NBA or going to the NBA after this year. It's a different style of recruiting than Kentucky, which just stockpiles 5 star recruits and hopes for the best.
