I actually think Campbell is a good QB....this year. NOTHING about his past performances would ever give me that opinion but right now, with this offense...and with the talent around him he is the perfect fit for the chickens. I was VERY impressed with how they dismantled Tenn last night. They went conservative in the 2nd half but why not...they steam rolled phat phil and the hillbilles abandoned the stands like nothing I've ever seen. Im not sure who I hate more but I will give Aubarn its due...they look like we did last year.
I use to make fun at JC but yes, you have to give him credit. I was more impressed with AU's D and they do look similar to what we did last year. I guess this was supposed to be Tubbys evaluation year and so far so good. Kinda makes the AD and the booster who tried to find a new coach last year look pretty damn smart now. :thumb:
I am not sold on JC just yet.....and I am not saying that he is bad but I still think that he needs to work on his downfield passing. He had a VERY, VERY good game against UT but their secondary is quite weak. Against LSU he struggled with the exception of the last drive.... Then again, with his running game.....you never know...he doesn't have the be perfect....the OC at Auburn has a very good plan going.
Props to both Auburn and coach Tubby, they beat a more talented LSU team and a more talented Tennessee team. I hold my nose and nominate coach Tubby for SEC coach of the year honors.
If ya'll go into the Florida game with the same intensity and explosiveness and fanatical obsession to win that you came into the LSU game with, you will crush Florida like a bug. And I figure you guys will, since Florida ruined your national title hopes in 2002, beat you again in 2003, and ya'll have only beaten them, what, twice in 15 years? This game, like the LSU losses of 2003, has to be sticking in your craw really bad. So I assume the 'Dawgs will be as sky-high for Florida as they were for the Tigers.
