First off, I can copy and paste anything on the net that isn't copyrighted. Second, there was a discrepancy between what you posted here and what you posted on the Auburn board and I pointed that out. Tubby clearly stated that the problems stem from incidents that occurred in Baton Rouge, implying that they were the fault of LSU fans. You changed that little bit when you posted it on this board. Only you can say if you did that intentionally or not. Go back and check if you don't believe me. I would copy and paste both but you seem to have some sort of weird objection to that. Lastly, I don't hate you or any Auburn fan. I may dislike some Auburn fans very much for their behavior but there are LSU fans just like them too. I don't post anything bad about Auburn (I will if it's true!) other than ribbing like most of us do. You have my permission to post it here if you find it.
Where do you get the notion that I'm blaming anything on LSU. Frankly, most of the nimrods of which I speak are the "corndoggers" and "classless LSU-fan haters" among our chums at Auburn. We have our own, of course, and you know it. But the Auburn guy was making a point about changing attitudes starting in Auburn with Tuberville. My point (listen carefully) was that while the coach and most reasonable fans may have either put this BS behind them or believe they should, there are those who care nothing and will continue to spew venom on the Auburn boards. Proudtiger is going to find his message hard to sell to some of his more immature colleagues on the net. The nimrods. Look, amigo. I see your point about the veiled insults in the post. I perceive it, too. But I think we need to be bigger than the Barners on this issue, not more petty. When one of them steps up and tries to do something right, we need to step up higher. If they still want to be insulting on their boards . . . fugg 'em. We're the National Champions, we're above that. :champs:
PT, its not your effort thats being attacked, its your lack of understanding of the origin of this hatred. ( the incidents that happened here ) If you can't see that the cause of these "incidents" are your very own "nicest Head Coaches we've ever had", then I for one see no end in sight. So when we clearly know tubby is the cause of these hostilities, and then your fans(5%r's) can't seem to stay off of our opponents boards with their drivel, then don't be surprised when your olive branch looks a little like a WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION!!!!! The wording of your post on the WEN board, appears to be a little backhanded.
Did "Blame it all on LSU." refer to you? not at all, it was a few sentences below when the context of the post had shifted from the "nimrod' comment to the disparity of the post on the Auburn board and the similar post here. Calling anyone a nimrod in a thread about trying to make peace is a bit ironic, don't you think? no big deal though. This whole topic is silly, silly, silly. LSU fans will never like Tubberville and nor should they. why should they? I don't like Auburn. Its a healthy football dislike. It irritates the %$#@ out of me when we lose and it makes the victories as sweet as they can be. I wouldn't trade it for a world of olive branches. I don't mistreat anyone at all and, dig this, I actually don't hold it against people in real life. ProudTiger, I admire your intent, but on this board, if you're not an LSU fan you're damned if you do and damned if your don't. This is just my opinion, but I have made similar such good faith efforts on this board in the past with a true heart, but this much I've learned..... you're welcome to lurk here and read, but if you're an Auburn fan first and an SEC fan second, you're not welcomed (by many) to post here - regardless of subject. And for the record, I've never made my judgement of LSU fans based upon the inflated rumors and stories that float the internet, but only by my own direct, personal interaction with said LSU fans. Well I guess the truth is what I've always said, there are good fans and bad ones everywhere. Why would this board be an exception since it is a cross section of fans?
I'm with GoldenTiger, I enjoy hatin on Auburn. So don't try and ruin it for me ProudTiger. Tubbyville has nothing to do with it. All the Tubby incidents some LSU folks blame their hatred on, I'm not in that number. I also don't believe that it's just a bunch of youngsters stirring the pot on internet message boards. I know you would like to think that, but.....it's much deeper than that. I applaud your efforts, but to think a couple of internet posters like yourself will change things is ludicrous. I disagree with you here. We treat people with respect who do not come in here and blast us (see the USC and Florida fan posts that have been deleted by moderators). I have seen and reacted to many of your post caddi, but I have never shot you down on a personal level. The purpose of this board is to discuss and debate, things will naturally get heated between fans of opposing schools, that's life.....you cannot take it personally. You and ProudTiger speak for the minority of both Auburn and LSU fans regarding the "lets be friends again" issue, I think the WEN board with agree on my sentiments there.
