1. Good article. Not much info we didn't already know, but a good read.

Speaking of WR's, I met Craig Davis the other night at WalMart. Seemed like a nice guy although seemed like he didn't care to carry on a conversation with some random fan. Part of me says it's cool b/c he probably gets that a lot...but another part of me says if you don't want fans to talk to you, don't wear a grey T-shirt that has a purple football with the number "3" in it to WalMart.

Saw Chad Lavalais in another WalMart right after the NC. He also didn't act like he wanted to talk either. Man, what is it with these football players? Just kidding. I'm sure I'd get sick of it too.

  2. I hear ya. I saw Broussard one night at Waffle House (about a week or so before the CapOne bowl). He was sitting at the 'bar' and had a sweater on with the hood over his head (while he was eating). I figured he was kind of trying to hide his identity. But can you guess how I knew who he was? Yeah, he had 'Broussard, #22' airbrushed as plain as day on the back of his sweater. I never even saw his face. Hell, if he would have kept his hood off (thus covering up the graphics), I never would have recognized him because I didn't know what he looked like w/o a helmet on. I didn't go talk to him or anything, but his strategy seemed like a really bad idea. Anyway, he was eating with Addai who made no effort to hide himself. Although he did have a similar sweater on, just sans hood on cranium.
  3. I saw Earl Campbell the other day, and was surprised how small and young he looked. The jersey really dwarfed his frame. He was walking with his friend Michael Jordan, who I always thought would have been taller and older.

I also see a lot of Tracy McGrady around Houston, and always shocked how he changes sizes and genders so frequently. It's like he's Superman.
  4. Yeah I get more glimpses of T-Mac around BTR than you would guess. He certainly looks black on TV. And, contrary to popular belief, he evidently still plays for the magic. And I always thought that he would be taller than me, but I guess TV really alters your perception.
  5. Some people just aren't the type of individuals that can comfortably carry on conversations with complete strangers. I wouldn't read too much into it, just be happy that you got to see them.

  6. Maybe AB was cold. Those Waffle Houses are freezing. There is nothing there to indicate Ally didn't want to talk. That's just speculation on your part.
  7. My point was that there's no definitive indication that that was indeed AB in the first place.

Even if it was, I have no problem with a player being shy or standoffish. Most days, I hate talking to people, especially strangers.
  8. IF he was sitting next to Addai there was.
  9. Um, yes. I'm very reasonably sure it was AB. I mean, I didn't go up to him and ask him, 'Are you Alley Broussard?' But I've no reason to doubt the idea. You don't see many people of his stature just out and about. As I edited in later, he was sitting next to JA (I knew what JA looked like b/c I used to see him in the library all the time...he had a football/practice shirt on with the #10 on it once and that kind of gave it away). The sweaters that they were wearing were NOT apparel that you would find in any store...personalized, airbrushed, hideous as all hell. I noticed them in the first place because they were two large, muscular individuals eating at the bar. It wasn't just some douche wearing an AB jersey. Now, perhaps AB loaned his sweater to a teammate that went to WH with JA. But I'm a bit skeptical of that.
  10. It was really me Chaos. I admit it. A cleverly designed ruse using Hollywood stuntman make up. the whole thing was designed to taint your impecable reputation with your mentor .... No limit. Sorry man. I wasn't going to say anything but you stepped over the line calling me a "douche". That's just wrong man. :nope:

BTW it wasn't hard to get AB's sweater. making me look like him THAT was the really tough thing.

    :hihi:
