If Art Shell agrees to an interview for the Miami job, knowing that he is doing it to satisfy the Rooney Rule, and knowing that he is enabling Nick Saban to get the job, does Shell meet the liberal criteria of "Uncle Tom"?

Why would Shell even bother interviewing? Unless he thinks that there is a chance that Saban might turn the job down and he might then have a shot at it.
