we're talking about winning the whole thing. LSU fans especially know how much of a difference there is between getting to the final 4 and winning the championship.

ive just never been big on youth. they have exeeded my expectations, but i dont think they have any chance of winning the whole thing. they can clearly beat any team, but not six games in a row against increasingly good teams.

if tt comes back good as new, id say decent shot a beating duke (40%), but then Tx, Memphis and UConn in consecutive games?

I don't think some of the media has caught on that LSU has two injured starters and not a lot of depth. LSU is certainly capable of a final four run under ideal circumstances, but history teaches that it takes depth to win an NCAA tournament. The chances of someone in an early round knocking off LSU are as good as Florida's was last week.

So you don't think we have a shot?

Right now, everybody is 0-0. Why all the rain on our parade? For a few days, we are in the hunt for the NC. That's the beauty of the playoffs. If this was football, we'd have known 2 months ago that we had no shot regardless of how we played.

I think we have just a good a shot as anyone else. I don't think we are superior in anyway, but at the same time, I don't think that there is a dominant team out there. The only thing that scares me about any team that LSU goes up against is us being able to defend good shooting guards (i.e. JJ Reddick). I think our frontcourt can hang with anyone and we should be able to outrebound on both ends of the floor, but a hot shooting guard won't produce too many opportunities for us to rebound defensively.
Not to look too far ahead, but if we do get to a sweet 16 matchup with Duke, I think that their lack of a solid presence of a 3guard/small forward could really be something we can take advantage of. Just my 2 cents

LSU! LSU! LSU! LSU! LSU! LSU! LSU!

I like the way things are setup. We get two good early tests in Iona and Syracuse/Texas A&M. After that, LSU gets nearly a week to prepare/rest for a likely matchup with Duke.

This is not bad as it gives LSU a chance to go against arguably the toughest team it could face in the tourney early on before they are worn out.

winning the whole damn thing? no

too inconsistent. with this team's defense, talent and balance that's ok against decent teams. more often than not it'll cost you against very good teams (top 20). so i dont think this team can beat very good/great teams 4 games in a row.

Why do you have to rain on everybody else's friggin' parade?

We're just talking friggin' basketball here. It's a forum for friggin' discussion after all and I'm entitled to my friggin' opinion. If you have a different opinion then post it, I'll read it. But I'm sick and friggin tired of you complaining about everybody who doesn't have the exact same friggin' world view as yourself.

Am I OVD? Am I a mindless Bradybasher or a Miles Basher. Hell No. Do I have friggin' opinions about how far the Tigers may go in the friggin' tournament. Hell Yes. If you don't like it . . . I don't friggin' care. But don't even dream about telling me what to post here.

    Got that, chief?

Well, I wasn't just referring to you. I don't give a flying greasy BB if you think LSU will lose in the 1st game or not at all. Personally, I think we'll be fortunate to make the elite 8. My point was that, right now, this week, is the only chance we have to be on an even level with everybody else. It should be fun, not gloom and doom. When did your skin get so thin?
