1. Does anyone have a video clip of the Jabari Smith? (i think it was jabari) dunk from the LSU/Arizona basketball game (5 yrs ago). It was at the end of the first half and was one of the best dunks I can remember in the college game. Thanks in advance.
  2. I don't have a clip, but I remember being at that game. Not only was that the greatest dunk I have ever seen at LSU, but that was probably the most fun I've ever had at an LSU basketball game. I remember everyone rushing the floor after.

I don't know what the reason is, but for some reason we always give Arizona a much tougher game than we should. I want to say that they were #2 or 3 when we beat them on that particular occasion.
  3. I don't have the clip, and I'm really not trying to hijack the thread, but the best two dunks I have ever seen at LSU were from Vernel Singleton and Shaq. I can't remember the games, but both were on ESPN's top plays over and over.

I want to say Vernel's was against Arkansas St.....I think. He came flying in from the wing at about a 45 degree angle to the goal and jumped from a step out the lane - a very large step. While he was in the air, a defender moved under him and when contact occurred, it forced him horizontal to the floor. He completed the dunk, landed on his feet and was then whistled with a charge. The crowd was loud at first and then in utter disbelief...not over the charge though, nobody cared about that, everyone could not believe what they had just witnessed. There was a buzz for about 5 minutes after that with people just shaking there heads.

The other was the Shaq comes down the lane, grabs the offensive rebound with one hand, basically fully extended behind his head and slams it home all the while jumping over a player. I want to say it was against UAB or some Alabama team. Same reaction as Vernel's except the buzz might have lasted for 10 minutes.

Not saying the Smith dunk wasn't great, I was there for that one too, but Smith's was in a high profile game and was really cool, the other two were just jaw-dropping unbelievable.
  4. The Shaq one I believe was against McNeese State.
  5. Thanks, I think you might be right....it's been a while.
  6. Go to www.lsutigers.net and click on Videos - then select "Rollin" - wait for it to load because it's well worth the wait and I think it might be my favorite LSU Highlight Video ever.

The video has some monster dunks by Shaq (rediculous dunks) - no idea where to find the Jabari flush but I totally agree that was one hell of a finish and one of the most fun basketball games I've ever attended.

  7. that is 'ridiculous'.
  8. I laugh every time you snipe someone so I have to laugh when you snipe me - ridiculous, ridiculous, ridiculous :thumb:
  9. Shaq made some fabulous power dunks, but the most exciting LSU dunk I ever saw was by Dewayne Scales in 1980. They didn't call him "The Astronaut" for nothing. It was a pass to a wide-open Scales at center court. He dribbled fast into the key, took off at the foul line and made a windmill dunk that just dropped everyone's jaw to the floor.
  10. i like it when the little guys dunk. one good one was mo williams going down the lane in traffic and dunking on someone. it might have been in the GT game.

maybe the best in the pmac i saw was by michael cutright (i think) for mcneese. he abused someone- i think it was wayne sims.
