Pretty much agree with you here. That Aubie offense should only improve in the weeks to come as they get more comfortable with the new scheme and I thought their D played well enough.

As for LSU, fortunately Georgia will still be undefeated and in the top 3 come Oct. 2.

Beat them and beat the Gators and LSU has a real fine shot at 10-1 and a BCS bowl. If Aubie wins the SEC, being 10-1 and losing that 1 by a single point to the SEC champ is nothing to be ashamed about at all.

Look on the bright side: an 11-0 USC goes to the Orange Bowl. I think LSU playing in the Granddaddy of 'em All would be cool. Might be a once in a lifetime trip to Pasedena, which I'd prefer over another Cotton Bowl.

I honestly think the only way this offense will "click" by seasons end is to make a decision at QB and stick with it.

This is not a slam on either of the two QBs, but it was clear that the rotation prevented either from getting and staying in a good rhythm. You could argue that Randall came out pretty consistent, only to get out of whack when he had to sit.

To suggest that the redshirt freshman be the choice over the 5th year senior really has as much with the fact that keeping the redshirt freshman on the bench does not help him mature or progress as anything else.

Make the choice, Coach. Thank Marcus for his hard work and let JaMarcus get his head on straight in this offense the rest of the way.

I want absolutely no part of the Rose Bowl. They treated Oklahoma like **** just b/c they did not get their pac 10/Big 10 match up. They have not hidden the fact that they only want teams from these 2 conferences, so I say fug'em.

As much as I hate the AP I think they've got us ranked right.

We'll get stronger as the season progresses I believe. I'm actually feeling better about beating Georgia and Florida on the road. I think Auburn was wake up time!

I know what you mean. Strangely I didn't come away from this game thinking LSU is a team in trouble. The defense played very well and our receivers were getting separation. It's just a matter of our QBs getting the offense down and the jitters out of their system. On a few of JR's incompletions (the ones in the dirt) I felt like he was trying too hard not to put the ball where it could be picked. That 1st road game is out of the way and, with Saban's history after a loss, I feel good about this team.

I don't know, NEB played in the Rose Bowl recently and the fans/team were treated well. I live out here in LA, and Pasadena goes all out preparing for the game and dressing the city out in team colors. Of course you are right, everyone out here rather have it be a PAC/Big 10 game . . . but I don't remember NEB being treated poorly for playing in the Rose.

I'm biased, so I'd like to see the Tigers in the Rose with Pas all dressed up in purple and gold . . . just like I'm sure you wouldn't mind seeing the Tigers in the Fiesta. :thumb:

yep, seems this team is just some game experience away from being very good. I came away from this game the same way...feeling it was ours yet we lost to LSU though it still wasn't just handed to them. We were on the road with new guys learning and we still held caddy and ronnie to less than 100 yds each. Who knew JC could make 3 huge plays on a game winning drive. We beat ourselves throughout but JC made plays when he had to.

I dont necessarily care where LSU is ranked til the end of the season yet with the football I've seen, I sure as hell do not think there are 10 teams better than us and by year's end, no doubt to me we will be somewhere in the mix.

Miami still impressive somehow. They truly reload and it seems they never have a dropoff especially on DB's and DL. Berlin will be their downfall.

if i had a top 12 based on the games ive seen thus far : (not taking current wins/losses, media or reputation into account, just on who I think has better talent and coaching ...as if my opinion matters but oh well)

    1. OU
    2. Florida
    3. Miami
    4. Tennessee
    5. Virginia
    6. California
    7. LSU
    8. Georgia
    9. USC
    10. Utah
    11. Tejas
    12. Auburn
not impressed with texas, unsure on WVA and also Big 10 teams seem to be missing something except for Purdont..

will be interesting when UVA and Miami play as well as UGA vs LSU/UF.
