  4. Roach.. I had concerns like you...

back when we hired Miles, but he took a LONG time to assemble his staff and he did a very good job of it. IMHO, being the CEO of the program seems to be what Miles does best, and I think he knows it, so I'm pretty sure he's gonna do just a good a job this time as last time. Just be patient and let him work. The NFL season is not over and there is even more talent available among coaches when that happens. As long as we are good to go by signing day I'm a happy camper.

Look at Jimbo's departure as an opportunity to see change and change is not always a bad thing. FSU may kick ass on offense next year, and we may kick ass on offense too, these two possibilities are not mutually exclusive.

I do like Pelini though, but I'm glad we have a program where potential head coaches are excited to come here and serve as our coordinators and I think that will continue.

All Les needs to do is this...

    - keep the La. talent in La. don't let anybody get out that we want,
    - keep the staff smart, well paid, and happy.

The staff doesn't have to be big names, as long as Les knows they will fit in and going places. I think Les realizes that these two tasks are the most important duties that he has, and I think he works hard at getting them right. So far, so good.
  5. Im not gonna blast you roach, cuz Im sure you've had enough, but with the way LSU ended this season, how could you be concerned? LSU IS, let me repeat, IS the best team in the country. I know UF won it all, but nobody could play with the tigers right now.

As far as who he hires, let's wait and see. Like you said, he did hire Pelini and you see how well that turned out. Im confident he will make the right decisions on OC and OL coach. Now if he does hire two dummies and we tank next year, then raise the question. But with the way recruiting is going and has gone, Im confident we are in the right direction.
  6. I agree with SF here also.
I am not trying to be mean spirited here but I wonder if people who worry
about these types of things have anything else to worry about?

Even if we were going to go downhill from here there is absolutely nothing
    anyone here can do.
If anyone should be asking this question it should be the coaching staff?
    But, maybe not?
I have a lot of confidence in Les Miles and think highly of him.
I believe he is confident and has no reason to worry about this type of thing.
I thank god that Les wants to be here and isn't looking to the NFL every
    year.
  7. Many of these issues being discussed come with having a successful program. Be happy that LSU is once again one of the elite programs and take the good with the bad.:geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
