Another great move by Smoke. Go ahead and start Mestapey in the regional and we can go home real early.

I have never really gotten on Smoke's case on here but I admit that I really didnt want to see Lane start this game.

Lane had to start. Who would've been a better start today? Smoke is making the best decisions with what he is given right now.

    Carface What the...?

At least he had enough sense to take him out early. Stop whining.

No one is whining. I simply thought it was a poor move.

Are we not allowed to say when we think something was poorly done? Good lord, grow some skin people.

I can understand getting mad if people start calling our coach names but simply stating something wasn't good in their eyes is not crying, whining, or whatever else some think.

It was the right choice? Come on dude, he didnt ge out the first inning, he has a losing record. I mean i like Mestapey and I think he's been a great LSU pitcher, but there is no way he should have started this game. This tourney is too important for LSU. The only way we have a slight chance to get to Omaha is by getting a Super Reg. And to do that we prob. need ti win this tourney. That starts by winning first game.

Ok then, who should've started today?

Anybody could have pitched and not got out the first inning. i could have done that. We have more that one picher on the team dont we. I bet we have about 10or 11 of them even. You take your pick. Poor Lefty just doesnt have this year.:geauxtige

I'm sure if Smoke thought that Lane was going to get yanked in the first inning that he wouldn't have started him. Smoke and anyone who has watched LSU this year was the most confident in Lane over our other options. Every (decent) coach in America makes that same decision.
