Yeah but we still wouldn't have as many ex-head coaches on our payroll as Auburn.

The Tampa Bay Bucs' Jon Gruden may be available for an interview.

Good post bayou. If Nick goes to Bama, so be it. He did not stiff LSU, he is stiffing Miami. He left LSU for the greater challenge of the NFL. If he goes to Bama, we just have to deal with it, all the crying in the world won't change a thing. Les has shown he's a good recruiter, Bo knows defense, and I like Jimbo but if he bolts, do you think there will be some pretty good resumes cross Les's desk for our OC job? I do.

Everyone has to get over this personal thing with Saban. It ain't personal, it's just business, its the business of a coaches life. Nick knows NO loyalty to any school or team, he's shown that. I understand that, because have you seen a school show loyalty to a coach when they don't put up an adequately respectable record? NO. Its just business, you fire him and give another coach a try. That is a tough business, and that's what you have to see.

We're doing fine. If Nick goes to Bama, it won't be any harder than battling Tubby or Meyer or Richt (sp?). There are some other good coaches out there. Just add another tough one to the crowd.

Before coaching, the guy was a jackhammer operator. Hmmmm......... Buy hey, u never know, the state of Alabama reelected a governor that swore he'd never let a black into his university system (and the majority of registered voters were black). Maybe I should reevaluate my employment status and take a job in sales in the great state of Alabama.

Haven't you all heard? The US Mint is working an all-nighter to print the money for the Bama offer to Saban. Evidently, a new word will be created to describe the money he'll be offered...$20 Sabillion. It's a word that describes a clause in the contract that states he be paid $1 more than the collective salaries of all NCAA coaches AND the NFL coaches. He's also been promised first-dibs on taking the virginity of every Bama fans' daughter...the trailer-park girls will be weeded out, of course.

I happened to be a student at Alabama when Gov. George C. Wallace stood on the steps barring admission to two black students. The part of history you are missing is the Alabama Governor was bound by his oath of office to uphold the state constitution and the state constitution is what barred the admission of blacks to the state universitiy. Gov. Wallace made a symbolic stand then stepped aside. Gov. Wallace carried the black vote in the state every election.

George Wallace later stated we (Alabama) thought segregation was best for Alabama, we were wrong.

Good post. There are plenty of coaches in the SEC that are as good as Saban and should we hire Saban it will still be no cake walk. We still have player issues to overcome and having to play against Tubberville, Miles, Nutt, Fullmer, Mayer, Spurrier and even Brooks will make for better games ahead for all of us. Maybe we will get to the point where we won't know we will lose a game we trail in the fourth quarter.

I am just ready to get this whole soap opera done and over with so we can go back to discussing LSU football.
