I won't comment on the Ala/Ark game. I offically don't care anything about Ala. or Nick (I'll always be a Tiger) Saban until the outcome of one of their games affects LSU in the standings, or until the week of Nov. 3rd.

When that game week gets here, I hope we administer a huge beat down on him this year and every year, to remind him what he walked away from here, and to all these "Bama is back!!" posters who seem to think that their coach is the second coming of Christ and that Bama will take their annointed and proper place as dominators of the SEC.

I hope that when Nick (I'll always be a Tiger) Saban retires and reflects on his career, he has to admit that the worst thing he ever did was leave LSU, because he never duplicated that success.

Don't know if that will happen, but that's what I hope.

P.S. I do hope that after the love they got from the refs on the PI calls, the Gumps finally shut up about the PI no call in 2005

I've refrained from mentioning that, wondering if it would come up during this thread.

Ironically enough, it was Penn Wagers crew that ref'd that game, this Ark game as well. (same with the game a few years ago when Ark had 12 on the field.) I've ran into him a few times here in Charleston.

On a different note, when they made the rule changes two years ago he was on the radio talking about how few times calls had been overturned/reversed. First week, his crew had 2. Nice guy, but it couldn't have been more fitting.

On the first question, I do. He was on his back, and Brown was hindered on the play. I've seen him play enough it was evident at first glance, even more so on the reviews I've seen.

I really haven't paid attn. to the measurement issue. I'm assuming it was a spot you are talking about?

Even if they were gracious on one call, like most games, they missed others which were simply blatant.

How much of the game did you watch? Curious, because there have been a lot of opinions voiced in this thread about it, and you guys were on at the same time. I ask, because I'm curious if you saw the ejection of the Arkansas player after he threw Britt's helmet at his head after he had been pancacked so many times.

There is a Youtube video of the most horrid "no call" I've ever seen; in the Bama/LSU 2004 game.

With that said, there were SEVERAL muggings of Tide receivers that were never called. It was appalling.

Considering how evident it is that everyone in the SEC, well, just about, has a gripe with Bama, and that no refs are allowed to ref games where they attended school, all of this amuses me.

I've seen as many bad calls as anyone has against our team. Having a bad crew, which we only have a couple of good ones, is one thing. Other than that, I can't understand how on earth people come up with this stuff.

Like your game last year, was that just a bad call by a crew, or was it the ole' payola. :thumb:

It's no big deal saying you want Saban to fail. I can't say I won't smile (or haven't in the past, 77-0) when fRan doesn't do well.

One thing I learned at this game today was in order for us to win, it is not about running all over them. We have to keep Bama's offense off the field and make JPW make mistakes. If he doesnt fumble and throw those picks...this was a 50-7 game. Bama marched down the field and ate the clock on every drive. But you saw what happened when they had short drives. That defense came out and looked awful when they were tired.

As for the interference, I still dont see how people dont think that was interference. You could of course mention how McCoy was rocked on a crossing pattern right before that and it wasn't called.

no, i'm thinking it was more like, "bless their hearts, they can't stop the clok....lets do it for them" he was referring to.
