CIA was in Afghan when Russia tried it’s hand. That’s honestly how all this shit started.

 

If you mean it started because the Russians invaded Afghanistan you’re right. Their decapitation of the rulers of the country left the mujahadin née Taliban filling the vacuum. The CIA/US support helped speed the collapse of the USSR by decades. Unfortunately there was no possible way to rebuild the prior society in Afghanistan leading to the last 20 plus years.
