I was unable to catch the basketball game last night. Was my first time I have not watched or listened to an LSU basketball game in years. Grabbing the paper today and reading the headline, Temple Elevates Game, was mind boggling to me. I have posted on here that I think Temple should not be a starter, he is only playing because of his name. Maybe everything was changing for him, maybe I was wrong. Then I read it. I was in disbelief as to what I was reading. Rosetta made Temple to being some kind of god. 10 points in the second half(10 for the game), 2 of which came from down town and a dunk. My thoughts now are how can this be a headline? So I read on, and it says he has 4 assist and 2 steals go along with that. Wow thats great a player that played 38 minutes and a team who scored 71 points, of course you should have 4 assist. What I am pondering on now is why they left out his 5 turnovers. Now I didnt listen to the game, but can someone state wether his 10 points were really the "game changer" and if his turnovers put Miss St back into the game. Also any info on Randy Rosetta and Collis Temple will be helpful too because I am still wondewring why this was all the paper talked about. Thanks
1) It's Garrett Temple 2) He had 2 3-pointers, a dunk, and a layup. The 3's came at a time where Miss. State was going on mini-runs and the crowd was starting to get into it. They definitely were game changers. JB himself mentioned that getting perimeter points from Garrett was big.
I know its Garrett...I want to know the history of Rosetta and his dad Collis. Obvioulsy they have a history together.
From what I've read in the past Rosetta is new to Baton Rouge. He hasn't been here long enough to develop any relationship with any Temples.
That's it! If GarrettTemple delivered a roundhouse kick upside the head of a defensive player, would that bring you around?
Perhaps the fact that he was never envisioned to be a starter, yet came through in the clutch and provided plays that helped turned the tide was the reason this was a big deal? I wondering why you're making such a big deal out of this. The kid played well and helped win the game. Besides, reading stories about Taz, Big Baby, and Tyrus gets boring after awhile.
We were up 10 when he hit his first 3 pointer, in the second minute of the second half. We were up 7 when he hit his other with 14 minutes still to play. Thats not clutch. His 5 tournovers had a bigger deal about Miss St coming back then his shots. I will say it again, he should not be starting.
Also, Rosetta probably didn't write the headline. Headlines are typically written by editors, not the writers.
