1. Adding Pitt and Syracuse shouldn't put pressure on anyone. In fact if anything it should relieve pressure, because if this is what other conferences are going to add the SEC has nothing to fear. Does the addition of those two make anyone say wow? No!
  2. No team in the SEC has negative athletic revenue. West Virginia loses 2+ mil a year. Their facilities are weak and will continue to be so. They bring a weak tv market. They are a bad addition all around.
Not to mention they are yankee-wannabe traitor bastards!!!

As an LSU fan, I hate to see any Texas team added because of its effect on LSU recruiting. If I were a neutral party, I would say add aTm and Texas Tech. Tech has a better operating budget than half of the SEC and adds the west/north Texas tv markets, (Lubbock, Austin, San Antonio, El Paso), perhaps even Albuquerque and Sante Fe.
  3. The pressure is to get while the getting is good. If you hold out too long you end up bringing the ugly girl to the dance.
  4. Remember, in other conferences there is more than football.
  5. Looks like all the ugly girls are being scooped up early to me. The hotties are holding out for a better deal(see SEC).
  6. Yes there is, but this conference realignment is 100% about football and football revenues.
  7. Even the best basketball revenues pale in comparison to middle of the line football money.
  8. I agree. But I'm pretty sure aTm covers most of those same areas. Especially Austin and San Antonio. Both are within 3 hours IIRC.

I'm sure we are going to add a 14th team for next year, if I had a choice it'd be Virginia Tech to hopefully add the DC market.
  9. Auburn. They have their yearly game with Georgia and play their crossover game with Bama.
