Something that has not been talked about is that we did not give up a sack last night(at least i dont remember one.) Not only did we not have turnovers and cut down on penalties. The OL did not give up a sack against two very good DE. With Russell running six times along with 33 pass attempts that is almost 40 pass plays. Also big props to Russell for running just to keep the def. honest. A HUGE improvement was made by the OL and running backs for chipping and picking up the blitzes.

There were many positives to take from last nights game and you can't say enough about the difference in turnovers and penalties. Yet you still get the feeling that LSU is not running on all cylinders especially on offense. This team has no where near reached it's potential, hopefully the next two games will give us a chance get it in a higher gear.

Penalties & turnovers would have cost us this game. We are fortunate dropped passes didn't.

JaMarcus gets a lot of credit for not getting sacked. He's getting better at avoiding rushers, moving outside the pocket when necessary & even making a few short runs.
