A court victory!

    The damage still wouldn't have been as extensive, so I guess it's just a measure of how badly the burns would have affected a person through 2 layers of clothing. I'm willing to bet a 20 degree difference in temperature for the same amount of time makes quite a bit of difference in how bad the damage is. If science could prove otherwise, the lawyers should have presented it.

    Very doubtful that they had crappy lawyers considering their access to capital and how much was on the line, but very probably that the jury was made up of idiots. The world is made of idiots, we can't expect to get anything else through "random" selection.

    I didn't realize your face had a thermometer which reads at what point coffee is safe to drink/spill on yourself.

    But it might ruin a perfectly good pair of wrinkle-free Dockers. Is Hardees liable for excessive condiment use?

    i would sue dockers. they have that "stain defender" thing that should work damnit. as long as you sue somebody. in any situation, the solution is to sue.
