That is far from the facts, he only needed to increase his ACT score by a point or so and he probably has taken many times if he hasnt done it yet.
Saban will win a big game. Sorry Auburn fans, but you lose to Nicky this year.
Why are you guys so offended on some one predicting something? It is higly possible, Saban has a good track record there is reason to be optimistic. He did it at LSU and he can surely do it at Alabama. Now do I wish he accomplishs that is a total different story.Sometimes you guys have to take it easy and think with the brain God gave you.Insteas of just flaming some one for saying something good about their program or feeling optimistic.
Ahhh, Another great forecast huh?? Remember your last one back in October? Here's a lil refresher for you. :hihi: http://www.tigerforums.com/showthread.php?p=495823#post495823 Guess we all know how that turned out. BTW, is your last name Corso??
Biased? From whom? If I recall were you not one of the one's talking about how Saban would rarely see a top 10 class, and never a top 5? I maybe wrong...but it seems there is a bias here, but on your part. He needs one more point on his ACT.
I covered that one for you already.:thumb: As for the recruiting rankings, I will leave that one alone but I am still skeptical.
On the part of Rivals. Alabama's Rivals site has, I can't remember the number, but an outrageously high membership - especially after Saban came on as coach. Also, Saban was getting a lot of press and Rivals played on that by hyping up his class because they knew a lot of people were paying attention to it. It has been said that one of the owners of the Rivals company is a big Bama fan as well. I can't recall the specifics, but there were several prospects whose rankings jumped once they either got offers or verballed to Alabama. One kid went from unranked to a 3 star. Indeed I was. I figured his classes would hover in the 10-20 range, with only occasional classes breaking into the top 10. It wasn't a biased prediction in any way on my part. I based it off Nick's recruiting at Michigan St & Alabama's recent history of recruiting success. I didn't count on Rivals being biased, however.
Well, I will take a stab. Rivals supposedly was started by Bama fans and if you compare the the recruit rankings between Scout and Rivals, most of them are comparable but there is a huge discrepancy for Bama. Personally I have to say that I tend to give Rivals more credence but it does look a little funny. Surely NS will recruit well, and he should win plenty of games, which is not the point of the thread. I have read some realistic ideas about the upcoming season(s), but have read far more wildly optimistic prognostications from Bama fans. What can you say? Fans are supposed to visualize the best scenario for their teams. However the statements of Luther just sound like ignorance and arrogance. Spoken from a not yet, incoming freshman, how can it be regarded as anything else? What can he possibly know about what it takes to win in the SEC or on the national stage. Smacks of Perrilloux's empty boasts as a recruit, and as I recall, Tiger fans didn't much care for that either.
Please explain how this is "higly" possible? What do you base that on? Can you list the number of coaches in Division 1 football that have two titles? How about the number of coaches that have done it at two different school? A bama fan telling us to use our brains? Now that is funny... Optimism by fans is expected, but plenty of your fans are hopelessly delusional and base your future success on your "rich legacy", combined with a coach that has a mixed bag of success, and has never coached a game for you. Most teams wait until they start winning again before talking smack, especially to teams that have absolutely owned you lately, Auburn(5 years) and LSU(4 years). The fact that Luther made these claims, just shows him to be an impulsive, immature blow hard. What can he possibly know about Bama's future or it's ability to win games? Add to that his less than mature handling of his commitment to LSU, and he is unlikely to get a favorable response from any LSU fan. Since you would have been asleep for a year to not know this, why don't you try using the brain God gave you, before you come here and slam us for our opinions?
