for those of you that have been offered a chance to get that 4 game package what does that mean when they say:

does that mean those specific areas are not guaranteed or any seat is not guaranteed. I don't want to promise someone I can get them a ticket and then be told by LSU that although I checked out with my credit card and everything the seat wasn't guaranteed and just get a refund and leaving a friend without a ticket to the game. Also, anyone know if they'll mail these tickets? Seems to me like Aug18th for determining what seat you get is cutting it awfully close to the home opener with VT.

I was offered this, too. It seems like a pretty crappy deal to me. It read like they are offering 1 ticket (so your friend would have to sit by himself) for each of the aforementioned games at $170 a piece and you don't know where they are gonna put you. You can probably do better getting tickets at the game, quite honestly.

Not sure if you think it is $170 per game or $170 for the package but I can confirm that it is $170 for the entire package.... VT tickets are going for nearly 200/ticket on ebay. Also, lots of Hokies have travel and accommodations with no tickets yet, they'll be desperate if you wanted to say get a few game packages and sell them off except for a ticket for yourself which would be highly subsidized or free due to the sale of the other tickets. Just a thought. And I'm certainly not a big advocate of helping the visitors take up space in our stadium.

if it's $170 for the package, that's awesome. Here is how I read it:

I figured "apiece" meant per game which sounded absolutely ridiculous. If it's $170 for the package, I don't think it's so bad after all! :thumb:

Thank you 2arms2legs. I just bought 2 Mini-Plans. It was $354 total. I also just found out that I may have my Bama LSU tickets coming from a buddy of mine, too. Thanks again! :thumb:

You can count me in the same boat - I thought it was $170 per game, but if that's the whole package price, that's a good deal. (That comes out to $42.50/ticket)

As far as buying a few packages in hopes of selling surplus tickets to the VT game, I'd have no problem doing it, even though it would allow a few more VT fans into the game. Think about it: these VT people are going to experience something like they've never seen before. Tiger faithful are going to be there in record numbers, the "Tiger Bait" chant will have washed over them for hours by the time they actually get into the stadium, and they are going to be in awe. A few more VT fans in the stadium aren't going to make a bit of difference.

Also, I have told some of you on this board that I am a minister. I'd like to just write that we in Oakdale continue to pray for the families of those killed in the VT shooting tragedy. Who knows? Maybe some of VT students will be so impressed with LSU that they'll want to transfer!:D

Just got my "mini package" tickets in the mail. It was a nice suprise b/c I got 2 packages and the seats are together for each game. They made it sound like the seats wouldn't be together. I'm in section 405 for the VT, LaTech, and Arkansas games and section 401 for the Middle Tennessee game. Not bad for about $42 per ticket.:thumb:

me too. It said the tickets wouldn't be together but mine are together for all 4 games. They're in one of the first bleacher rows in the east upper on the 50 yard line for VT. If you don't mind me asking, how many priority points do you have? Wish I had gotten some south end seats.

I got the same. What a deal that was! I'm going to sell the rest of the tickets and make all of my money back and then some.
