1. Alright i have had just about enough of this constant bashing of the coaches.

Yes i am upset at some of the things but it is time to move on .

24 Hour rule win or lose.

I am sickened at the complete and utter way we as fans turn and are disloyal at the first sign of trouble.

This team and these coaches have been through something that no one has ever experienced before. Les Miles has handled himself as a Leader and friend to the state of Louisiana and i am furious over the way as a fanbase we have turned on him.

LSU Football is important but keep life in perspective people.

Give him a chance and i think we will see that he is a good coach and i for one am going to give him a chance.

I am very upset over losing to Tenn but people we are going to have a second chance at them. I see it and i feel it.

SEC CG LSU-TENN and Mr Clausen gets his ass handed to him.

    Geaux Tigers

    Give em hell Coach Miles
  2. Les Miles may be a decent coach over time, but Bo Pelini is terrible. He has already shown that he does not have the ability to understand that his scheme is terrible.

Case in point: We line the corners up 10 yards away from the line of scrimmage for almost every play vs. ASU, and we get torched. Repeatedly. Even when my mother in law could clearly see that the positining of the corners was way too soft, Pelini stubbornly refused to make the adjustments. Therefore, on almost every ASU reception, there was not a defender anywhere close to the reciever.

Come Tennessee: We start the game with the recievers close to the line. The coverage allows the line to put pressure on the QB, and boom, we are up 21-0. Then Clausen comes in, and much to my dismay, the corners start lining up 10 yards off of the line. The rest is history.

What this shows me is that the first half pressure we created by having the corners line up near the line was not what Pelini wanted to do. Maybe he was just trying to appease the fans and boosters, because as soon as he was confident the game was in hand, here comes Belini Ball.

We need to start accepting the fact that we have another Tepper here. Stubbornly clinging to his "genius" defensive scheme, even when it gets you torched for over 500 yards and loses a 21-0 game.

I wonder if John Thompson or Derrick Nix would be available from South Carolina?

  3. Well said Calco
  4. You make a lot of good points. But why do I or anyone else need to exhibit loyalty to Les Miles? Who the hell is Les Miles? I had never heard of him when he was hired, never. I support Les and our coaches, but why do I need to be loyal? The guy looked like a total bozo on Monday and our defense, which just last year was fierce with most of the same players, is giving up loads of yards.

I'm loyal to the school and the players. To me, and I hope this changes, our coaches are goofy newcomers who look totally underqualified.
  5. I will tell you why i say give him a chance.

What i saw Monday was a team that gave everything they had in the first half. Emotion and heart and it was there for everyone to see.

But what i saw in the second half is a team and coaches that had hit the wall. The body can only sustain that emotion with adrenaline. And when the adrenaline stops the body hits an emotional low.

I am not saying that they couldnt function but i saw as a team we hit the wall. The spark that kept us from giving up in the ASU game was removed by the mental exhaustion of players that have been through things no one has ever experienced.

So as a lifelong LSU fan and someone that loves LSU with all my heart , soul, body i am prepared to give these people my loyalty and my trust and keep this loss in perspective.

Loyalty is a hard thing to give when times are tough. It is easy when everything is going great. We see what kind of fans we have when times get tough and i for one am a little ashamed of the way we as a fanbase are acting.

If you hurt LSU Coach then by God your hurting the University i love.

So lets put the loss behind us and move on to Miss St and a chance to get back on the right track.

    What do you say fans.

Can we come together and give these coaches and players our support when times are tough.

I for one am going to support this team no matter what.

Another point is i will always be grateful to Les Miles for the way he conducted himself during the worst disaster this country has ever seen. And i am proud to have him as a leader of our young men at this time and i believe in him as a person with character.

Bash me if you want but i will tell you all this.

Whether Les Miles ever wins another game as LSU Coach we are indebted to him for the way he has led our Team through this time.

    Lets give him a chance.
  6. One way for fans to overcome a loss like this is to look back on a previous good game and think of all the positives. Unfortunately, I didn't watch any Oklahoma State games last year, so until Les comes up with something better at LSU, the "you're only as good as your last game" rule applies. I think that is true of many around here. I'd love to give him a chance, just as soon gives me reason to.
  7. I really hope you are right, but I am a season ticket holder who spends a ton of money on not only season tickets, but plane tickets, parking at the airport, boarding my pets, and other misc. things that pop up on every trip. Now my flight was cancelled this past weekend for obvious reasons(Rita), but I do not enjoy wasting money watching a very talented team dazed and confused because of a lack of coaching by Mr.Miles and Pellini boy. Les makes a ton of money! Why? because of season ticket holders. He should not get a break because this is his second game. Major CEOs do not get a chance to screw up three times, so if we look horrible against our remaining schedule then He has to go. Tiger fans make DEATH VALLEY A SPECIAL PLACE TO WATCH@ PLAY FOOTBALL and everybody is worried that Miles and clown boy pellini are going to destroy it!
  8. In all probablility the fans quitting on the team now are the same ones asinine enough to boo the team during the Oregon St. game last year. That was the game following a National Championship and with one Coach Saban still standing on the sidelines. These people have issues, one of which is an inability to exhibit some loyalty through moments of trouble. I am glad they are not in charge of the LSU program. Les Miles is not a moron and for that matter neither is Bo Pelini. There has certainly been a drop off in the preparation of the team and in the team's execution as well as game time adjustments. It's not pretty but this crap happens fairly often with a new coaching staff. The one person I really think deserves some pressure is Jimbo Fisher. The offense has not been explosive since Rohan Davey and his play calling leaves a lot to be desired. Rip on that man, if you must. His system has been in place for several years. Production from the offense is going in the wrong direction........flame away.
  9. Bah, nonsense. This is the SEC. There is no such thing as Paterno-like loyalty to losing coaches, unless we are talking about sub-par basketball coaches.

Maybe Miles and Brady can make a support group or something.

  10. Word....
