Currently playing ball in Woodlands, TX but is from Baton Rouge. He attended Parkview so he has a few friends on the LSU team and his entire family are diehard Tiger fans.

He has a ton of offers right now across the SEC and Big12.

Not a cut and dry LSU guy but we have a very good chance at landing him.

He will be at LSU's practice today.

I had no idea, this is terrific news. He is a big, thick looking kid who is pretty strong. It looks like he would be a prototypical OG. We need OL and we have nabbed one from TX every year since 2004.

His father, Duff, was an offensive lineman at Mississippi State in the late 70s early 80s and his father's brothers played at Ole Miss. I think his mother is an LSU graduate. Chad attended Parkview Baptist through the 7th or 8th grade before the family moved to the Woodlands. Great kid from a great family and would make a great Tiger. We have a shot but it will be a battle for his signature.

:geaux: This is a kid I really hope ends up in the 2010 class for LSU. Great prospect and we need to keep that Texas/Houston area pipeline open! :LSU231:

His sister is currently a student at LSU as well.

Says he's down to Bama and LSU and will make a decision in two weeks, if not sooner.

Based on his LSU ties, I'd imagine LSU is sitting pretty good. Anyone have inside scoopage?

If I had to guess it would be LSU since he has been on campus 2-3 times the last 3 weeks including last weekend. However, he does plan to be in Bama on Wen.

Family in town who are diehard LSU fans and a few friends from Parkview on the team puts LSU out front IMO.

Has he been to Bama before? If not he is ours to lose. Logically there is no reason to give a timetable of 2 weeks unless you already are pretty sure of where you are going.

Yes he has been to Bama before and I believe it was for their Junior Day.

The timetable does have relevance though and I see him as a Tiger.

Another little advantage over Bama is that we are located closer to his current home. The big time players on his offer sheet look eerily similar to that of Stavion Lowe. I'm sure he will be a 4 star player by year end. Someone should kiss Mack Brown on the mouth for not offering these great players. Seriously though, I know he can't take them all. It gives me a reason to pull against the evil Bob Stoops:mad: so we can beat out Oklahoma for some of Mack's leftovers. As I mentioned before we have signed one OL from Texas every year since 2003. Let's keep the streak alive! I wish we could get more. I just started singing the "Yellow Rose of Texas", just be thankfull you can't hear it.
