I highly doubt Garrett was told that he was the only QB LSU was interested in, considering there were a handful of highly regarded QBs at the camp with him!

I don't follow your reasoning...I replied in response to this comment:

Unless that comment means the MSU staff told him he was the only QB they were going after...I read the comment to mean LSU supposedly told him that. If it was MSU, then move along...nothing to see here.

I read it to mean LSU originally as well, but knew that couldn't be true so it is referring to MSU.

It was a poorly worded post. The Rivals article said that, initially, MSU told Garrett he was their guy and they wouldn't be looking for another QB.

It's a quote from Garrett himself. Could be that he misunderstood them.
