Been talked about a time or two around here. Great game. USC was #1, had Charles White at TB. Questionable pass interference call and face mask call against Tigers allowed USC to hold on. Face mask shouldn't have happened as Trojans jumped offsides but ref didn't see it.

Interesting story circulating around BR at the time was that police caught some USC players scalping their tickets at the Bellemont Hotel although nothing was done about it.

This should be policy. It's always better to schedule any in-state Div I-A school over even the I-AA National Champ. It just doesn't look good to computers, or to pollsters to have I-AA opponents.

Of the in-state schools, La Tech and ULL are probably the two strongest to pick from right now. La Tech is usually hovering around .500, and ULL has competed for the Sun Belt title the last couple of years.

Thanks for posting that, I thought we beat them in '84 too but I couldn't find the dam schedule when I looked so I didn't want to post without source.

Herbie was still in junior high getting his lunch money stolen back in 1984.

Corso's record was 41-68-2 over his ten years at Indiana, and in 1983 he became an announcer for the burgeoning United States Football League (USFL).
