1. Wonder how much her vote is going to cost the people in La. and the Country so the libs can further the nannie state.
  2. Spin it however you want but it's no different than a bribe!
  3. Her vote is just to allow debate. I doubt seriously if she'll ever vote for a bill with the public option, she won't be able to get elected again.

I'm glad that she got the money for La. That's her job. We were getting screwed with the cuts.

The final bill voted on will be way different than what's there now. IMO.
  4. Yep...but the next vote will only require 51 so the Blue Dogs won't be heard. She sold out!

How do you expect the money to be spent and what benefit do you think we'll actually see? How much more will it actually cost us in the long run?

It's amazing how people sell out their ethics and values when they'll personally benefit. Sad! :nope:
  5. Wouldn't 51 votes require blue dog support?
  6. I don't know how many are actually considered Blue Dogs but I would think most of them would have to oppose it or we'll see the liberal version Reid and Pelosi want.

Considering that some have already been bribed that will be hard to do. I'm sure some will pull a John Kerry saying "I voted for it before I was against it." I'm sure some will claim they stood tall and argued their point yet ultimately lost out. If so, they should be voted from office because they know how this process works.

I think our only chance of surviving this administration and Congress is for more liberals to start practicing abortion. Otherwise the debt they're accumulating will last for generations. That is if this country actually survives.

Are you guys learning to speak Chinese yet?
  7. She is a political whore.
  8. All Reps and Senators are expected to bring home the bacon. And that is exactly what is wrong with us all. We all want jails - just not in our backyard. We all want spending cuts - just not here.

If we don't start recognizing the sacrifices we have to face as a nation, and start doing it on the local/state/federal level....well, we just keep creeping forward towards the cliff.

Justifying the "buying of votes" is preposterous at this point. And giving $ for votes is just that - buying it.
    2 people like this.
  9. Not nearly as much as Washington has stolen from Louisiana over the years...

Thats quite a stretch you're making there Mr. fantastic.

    All the best ones are.

Perhaps all of you are not familiar with the political process. Exactly what do you think we elect representatives for if not to send money back to the state they represent? Even Jindal's administration (which opposes the bill) agrees with her position of leveraging in the solution to the state's FMAP issue.

This is what it boils down to:
Yeah, she's pretty crooked all right...

She's easily the state's best political representative and it's not even close. For the record, I can't stand the woman or her husband.
  10. Her dad was real great for the state too. :dis:

I don't believe our future (U.S.) should be determined by a bunch of crooks essentially playing a reality show like Survivor to determine who remains on the island. We should expect far more from our so-called leaders. That real "change" Obama repeated during his campaign will NEVER happen if the people share your opinion and attitude.

We may all have two Senators but only a few states dominate the House. If we have to buy votes Louisiana will lose out most of the time.
