1. From DD:

Sounds very similar to Sidell Corley.
  2. that's awful, i haven't lost a parent yet but my wife lost her dad at 15 and it was very difficult on her.

though we see them cracking pads on the field and they seem larger than life these are still just kids.

i wish him the best through what must be a most trying time.

  3. man sorry to hear that good luck to Carneal, and prayers sent out to him and his family
  4. Wow. Best wishes to Ainsworth. I have a feeling he'll eventually be back.
  5. But without his scholarship. It was given to walk-on linebacker Ace Foyil.
  6. Best wishes for him and his entire family.
  7. THis is bad, prayers will be sent. Wish him the best in these hard times.
  8. How do you know this??? If he quit after school starts NCAA changed
the rule a few years ago that the ship could not be transferred until
    spring semester.
  9. the assumption is that Foyil picked up Ainsworth's schollie. I can't find confirmation of that.

I'm guessing that quitting, regardless of the circumstances, frees up the schollie. I don't know that, tho.
  10. It was said that he might walk on the team next spring. If he retained a scholarship, he wouldn't have to walk on.
