Ye of little faith.
I saw some good signs tonight.
1)Our defense shut down SC in the second half...shut.them.down. We forced turnovers, blitzed, and blitzed efectively.
2)We threw the ball downfield. On the particular play I'm talking about, we threw a bomb to Byrd...a PERFECTLY thrown ball...and he dropped it. That won't happen often. But it proved that we can stretch the field.
3)The two QB system worked flawlessly in the second half.
4)The lines took over and both dominated.
5)We have more than one RB who can help salt the game away late.
6)Our defensive coaches made adjustments at halftime...and they worked.
7)We are 5-1, coming home for a HUGE game against UGA.
I don't know what is meant by "we need to build another team". We have young players, and they need time to develop. There is NOTHING that develops players faster than letting them play football...on the road...against SEC teams. They will lose some...(last week)...and win some...(the rest of 'em).
This IS the rebuilding year, and we are doing a good job of rebuilding as the year goes on.
