1. I could be way wrong... way, way wrong... so correct me if I am wrong...

But I don't really think it's fake dirt...

if you slide into third base, I think you'll still get dirt on you...

I just think it's layered far thinner than it used to be.

Again. Correct me if I am wrong.

and if I am and it is fake dirt, then yes, I think it is silly.

all it looks like to me is a fast infield.

and even if it is "fake dirt", they have it out there for a reason.

I am sure in the 1900s, someone with an "3-wood made of iron" would have gotten the response, "I don't know how this will make the game better."
  2. you are wrong

(will edit with info in a couple mins, looking it up)

had to be first to call ya wrong clairice... it's been a while :D

    link
  3. hell will freeze over before LSU gets any artificial playing surfaces
  4. does it count when I specify before hand that I am guessing? I'll give you the points just because it's been a while. I been on fire lately. :angryfire

either way, in Louisiana, it's good to have.
  5. Best pic I found of it. The dirt even LOOKS like carpet.

  6. yeah. that pic shows it better.

    That IS dumb.

all it basically is, is grass painted brown.
  7. Just talked with someone at the LSU Baseball office and she does not believe Coach Manieri will be using artificial turf at the new stadium. :thumb:
  8. Damn Skippy! Might as well put out artificial players as well.
  9. that's a relief, but not that it's really his decision anyway.

This was ole Skipper's pet project. I suppose he will have good say in how it's run.

I always thought from the beginning the new stadium should be called "Skip Bertman Stadium" on Alex Box Field

Or Alex Box Stadium on Skip Bertman Field, etc...

they may do something of that sort... we'll see.
  10. He's already got Skip Bertman Dr.! :thumb:
