With hobbled WRs, who do we turn to on 3rd and 6?

Especially Doucet - I didn't think his loss would be that noticeable, but color me convinced.

I just hope MF stops staring down his receivers so damn much - he's going to have to be perfect to avoid interceptions if he doesn't scan more. Not every secondary is as young as Florida's and even they may be able to step in front of a few.

Any good coach attacks a teams weakness to win. What's our weakness? What does Florida shut down and say beat us with? It may be Flynn since he seems to still be healing from his ankle sprain. They may shut down our run and say Flynn has to beat us with our receivers. They know they can't score much on our defense. They want to keep it close and hope for turnovers. Hit our QB and receivers hard and hope for turnovers. Maybe their defense can put some points on the board. If Flynn manages the game well then we win.

I agree with everything except that bit - because they have the skilled players and the offensive power to score more than anyone else has on us so far, and they definitely know it.

I don't think they want to keep it low scoring, because they don't do well in low scoring games - their pass defense isn't doing well this season. They know we're going to put points on the board. At least 20, if we hit their season average (Troy put 31 up).

I think C.U.M. (couldn't resist) is going to look for ways to diversify his offense so that we can't key on Tebow and Harvin and shut them down. Have to assume he'll learn more from his Ole Miss and Auburn games than we will and will be able to adjust a bit.

I still think we shut them down on scoring - less than their season average. But I don't think THEY think we'll be able to do that.

Well, that hasnt been the case here. Have we had a TE catch a ball this year? Do they even go out on pass routes? Either what we heard about Crowtons offense is inaccurate or we dont have a TE capable of catching balls.

It can be seen as advantage for LSU as Meyer and his scouts cannot decipher who LSU's go-to guy would be in this situation. Rather than sticking to a man Double-Z (or similar), he may be stuck with a zone D, which Brandon Cox picked apart all night... :thumb:

Dickson has a TD catch I believe (from South Carolina)

DICKSON - I was going to separate the syllables for emphasis, but thought you migh think I was calling you names....

I agree we didn't throw to them in the first two games, but I believe Dickson caught balls in the last three and Zinger had at least one thrown to him.

Richard Dickson has 16 catches for 168 yards, and 2 TD's. Zinger has 2 for 12.

What games have you been watching? Dickson is TE and has caught several passes this year including a TD against USC. He also caught a couple passes against Too Lame.:)
