"When somebody gets a little nicked and we want to rest them, and we turn to a guy like Jared Mitchell or Demetrius Byrd, they understand that it is the responsibility of the position to play like the guy in front of them or better. We challened some young guys today and they brought their talents to the team." -Les Miles post-game interview Sounds like Miles is implying that Doucet was 'nicked" and that it may not be as bad as some think.
While most of that is true, I personally believe the real reason we "need" him is because he is our most clutch receiver by a long shot. He is the only one with gametime experience in close games. If it's 3rd down with the game on the line I would feel much much better knowing he was on the field.
HOLD ON GUYS! We did not lose him yet. Lets wait until we find out the extent of the injury. Early may be back next week. no one on this board knows the whole truth yet. Lets all wait a few day before we cast gloom and doom. :thumb:
Well I'm not trying to add to the confusion, but I was told by my best friend who works in several hospitals around B.R. He stated that one of the doctors he works for told him that the only thing he could say was that one of the tigers who did not play sat. night was going to have his knee scoped. I'm not trying to say it's Early, but he said the doctor implied that it was someone important. I don't know of anyone else who is injured besides him. That's all i know
I think I will just wait until Les Miles or someone else tell us something. :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
Considering that the LSU Information Department released that it was groin related, I doubt this is Doucet. And while you may not be trying to add to the confusion, you did.
How do you know it wasn't Miles who told me? Fine then, don't believe me....care to make a lil wager??
