We can get as cocky as we want in reference to Jason White cause we owned his puke azz and that chapter is closed........we'll be happy to take Sam Bradford as the next sacrificial lamb though.

Homa fans better not get cocky yet, a huge Sun Belt win over North Texas, and a recovering Miami program..........Oklahoma looked dam good but we'll know much more after the Oct 6th game at Texas.

Just curious how a player laying on their back needs blocking. Yes punches and yes a player using his arms to repeatedly force another player into the ground while on top of him with another player is what I would call a shove.

The helmet came off during the scuffle and the player was on the sidelines having his cut attended to. I realize that wasn't on the video but it was part of the telecast. And the commentators discussed the lack of action on the ref's part.

I have to disagree with you here. I'm predicting a big blowout in the Red River Shootout. I don't think Texas will hang with OU, and I believe OU will run roughshod over their conference. I'm not saying that OU is incredible, but they are more than capable of taking the Big 12 by storm.

There were a couple of dirty hits on us in the Sugar Bowl, too. Perhaps a trademark of the Weis era at ND (regardless of how short it may end up being) will be that his teams don't conduct themselves with great sportsmanship.

Robidoux87 You call that a double?

    - Our mighty SEC is looking like a two team conference right now.

    Georgia: Ewwww

    Tennessee: Not so much

    Auburn: Blows

    FLA & LSU: Awesome

    Observations:

I have no idea who to go for in the Michigan - Notre Dame game in next week's pick em.

I felt like I had a hangover on Sunday, even though I didn't have any beer or other adult beverages on Saturday night.

I was so giddy yesterday that I forgot it was my wedding anniversary.

I kinda think maybe it was Jimbo that was the conservative one.

Is there anyone still complaining this week about the Running Back by Committee? Not being snarky, just curious. I like our new OC!

You nailed that. You never know what's going to be repeated.

One of the first things Weis did after being hired was to pass out "Play Nasty" bracelets in a closed team meeting.

He then went on a rant about how the one thing his team would be known for was its "Nasty" attitude and play; how people would learn to fear his team

Coach Weiss also appointed the team captains rather than having the players do it and two of them include #26 Thomas who was in that video and also #9 Zibikowski who you can see stomping a GTech player as he walks away from the pile. This is clearly a frustrated and pressured group of players.

What a dirty play and he got away with it. You have to watch the replay close too. Its about the 10 second mark and you see #9 attempting to stomp on the GT player with his right foot. You see another GT player, #61, pointing at that dirty ND scum bag runs away from the pile because he saw it up close.

    ND is in serious trouble.

You know, I like to joke about Granny Holtz being senile and all, but I have to say that back in the day he had more control over his players. My sister was at ND when when they won the MNC, and Lou's reputation on campus in his early years there was of being a disciplinarian. I remember one game when a ND player had a flag thrown at him for a late hit, and Granny lead the guy (who towered over him) off the field by his facemask and lit into him afterward on theh sideline. I watched it thinking that I wouldn't be surprised if the guy cried.

I hate how ND is over-hyped by the media, but I am honestly sad that the program has fallen to this low.
