I'm having trouble finding a student ticket to the LSU/VT game to upgrade.....

So I don't think they are activating the LSU Student Ticket Marketplace till tomorrow or something so I might have some trouble finding a student ticket to upgrade in time for the VT game. Two things are going against me...

    1) There's a 500 ticket limit on student tickets that can be upgraded...first come first serve.
    2) I'll be in Indianapolis Wednesday-Friday for the Saints game. So even if I do find a ticket on the Marketplace (while paying my 9.99 a day for internet at the Hilton) I won't be in Baton Rouge to do the upgrade unless I email the ticket to one of my friends or something...

Now if I can't find a ticket I might have to resort to buying a ticket in a regular section   .

One option I am considering is buying a single ticket in the 200's (North Endzone) and sneaking over the student section.

This thread has some imput on sneaking over from the east side but I just want to make sure I shouldn't have many problems sneaking over to the student section from the North Side.

I've always noticed some rope or something down the middle and some cops so any insight from North Endzone ticket holders would be helpful! :thumb:

Thanks in advance for any advice...

The problem is keeping the loonies from the common folk...not the other way around. You won't have a problem. :D

Say hello to the bald guy as you walk by.

there is a half wall seperating the sections and a guard standing every 20 or so rows watching for people jumping. one time asked one of them if i could cross to go meet up with my parents.... they weren't having it.

what we did the past couple years when i had friends (non lsu students) that wanted to come to the game with us... jump the wall at the bottom ring from your section and walk around to the student section on the ground, then jump back up in form the bottom. we never had any problems there

There shouldn't be a problem slipping into the student section from anywhere else in the north endzone. The problem would be getting from the east stands into the north endzone.

Correct. Trying to get there from 100's or 300's is a no-no. Hoping the wall is a no-no. Flying in on a paraglider would be easier.

But if you have a 200 ticket not a problem. Just don't try to walk by me with your bottle of Wild Turkey in your hand (yes...happens neraly every game).

Just to give you an update, I just upgraded my tickets and it looks like if you weren't doing the VA Tech upgrade this morning you might be out of luck. I stood in line for two hours just to get my upgrade and the line outside the building was still wrapping around. Also, this year they're letting us upgrade all the tickets at once instead of waiting for the week of the game as done in years past.

Let me get this straight. You are a student and you're taking 3 days off to go to Indi for the Saints game.

Gee, I don't recall having that kind of opportunity when I was in college. :D

Good luck and route for the Saints.

Hey mac, I know it probably won't help right now, but I know for a fact that the ticket office has a group of student tickets (20-50) that they refuse to sell.

They are the extras that people ordered that aren't being mailed out for one reason or another.

Maybe call the office (speak to a manager) and let them know that you know.
