1. Raining like cats and dogs. looks like it will be raining at game time... who does it help ??
  2. whoever has the better oline and running game.
  3. It always helps the worst team cause a wet & muddy ball/field is a great equalizer.
  4. generally speaking poor conditions usually hurt the faster team because it equalizes the speed.
  5. Actually, if their is anything MSU is good at it is field condition and draining. They have some serious turf management majors. Those guys are good with field turf and I doubt it will make much of a difference by the time the game gets here.
  6. So they know grass?
  7. OSU Beavers comes to mind quick.:)
  8. Man, I still have my ticket to that game. You wouldn't be able to make out what game it was for if you weren't there. What a fun game. Nothing better than winning a slugfest with all of the coeds drunk and wet and all the fans stomping and getting absolutely crazy. Hmm, and I don't have to feel guilty about the coed remark being that I'm a college student myself.
  9. I'm with Tiga...I don't buy into the rain hurts certain types of teams more than others, etc. Rain will always help the underdog.

If all goes normal, the favorite will generally win...the more varibles in the equation, the better for the underdog. Rain is one of those variables.

  10. Jim Hawthorn just said on the radio that it is cloudy but has not yet rained in Starkville.
