You have to be kidding me that LSU has received 33,000 requests for tickets to the Bama game. That is insane, especially considering that the previous record was 14,000 requests for the Tennessee game last year.

I have a feeling that more than a few people put in requests for 20+ tickets knowing that they would be maxed out at 2. I would also assume that a bunch of those people put their name in the hat knowing that these tickets will be going for 5 times their face value on eBay, and had no intention of actually going to the game.

I've never been to an away game but would love to go to that one and was planning on trying to get tickets.......guess that's out now.

Point is, it's a much looked forward to matchup......Bama folk not so stupid paying all that money for a coach after all huh. :hihi:

It will get ugly when all those 'Bama fans realize that Saban doesn't really have the talent to compete this year.

I think that Saban beats Tennessee, but that is about it.

Ugly? You mean the scalping price will drop when Bama has 3-4 losses going into the game. That's beauty!

I say we bring 60,000 tailgaters to the game and have a big party on Bama's campus. This game will be great fun playing our old coach Nick Saban who's trying to repeat his LSU accomplishments at Bama.

I suspect the price of tickets outside the stadium is going to rival 3 games in recent memory. OU when they visited, UT and UF in '05. Scalpers were well over 300 bucks for those...heck, the OU game BAD seats were going for 4 bills...

The first time bama came to Auburn (1989) I turned down $800 a for a pair on the 45 yd. line. Wouldn't have missed it for anything.

I realize it is the Iron Bowl & all, but 800 bones for a pair of tickets is probably enough to get me to stay home for just about any game.

I live in Atlanta and Tuscaloosa is an easy drive for me. I put in for tickets to the LSU-Bama game & I will be there if I get tickets. But if someone comes along & says they will give me $800 for my tickets, I will gladly watch the game on TV.

Ordinarily I wouldn't turn down such as offer either. But that was a very special occasion in this big rivalry. Bama had never come to Auburn and said they never would. Fortunately Auburn had got to the point we could say OK play us home and home or forget it. We won the game so it was worth every penny and I had no regrets.
