Should you serve ice wine chilled or at room temp?

    Thanks!

depends on the type of wine and what you prefer... typically white wine is served chilled and red wines are served at room temp.

Yes if it's white serve it chilled. I think the proper temp is around 50 F.

red is at room temperature,if that room temp is between 57 and 70.Evidently the French keep their rooms colder than we do.

treat the pink as white. the red is actually better if slightly chilled since in bama room temperature is 90 like here.

Exactly, usually our houses are to warm for the "ideal temp" for red wine.

Characteristics: Intensely sweet, rich, flavorful wine, high in sugar and acidity that is balanced by the sweetness. The wine provides flavors of apricot, peach, mango and melons with a somewhat nutty aroma.

Ageing: Though capable of long ageing, it can be drunk young.

Serving temperature: Serve at a temperature of 41º-46º F. Serve in a small cordial glass, pour approximately 2 ounces.
Food pairings: Ideal on its own, at it's best when served with dessert. Avoid those desserts that are extremely sweet and sweet-chocolate based.

Drink enough of it and you won't care ! Never had ice wine. I will be having a Columbia Crest Two Vines (2003) Cab tonight, very inexpesive ($5.99) and very good. Wine Spectator gives it an 85. Cheers !
