If Saban were still the coach at LSU Joe McNight would have not left Louisiana. :hihi: just kidding no need to flame. I bet someone is gonna say it though. CLM still has a very good class. The tigers should do well. with that said, USC's class should be illegal.........wait, It probably is!
Actually, that may be true but there is no guaranty that Saban would have brought in the other studs that Coach Miles did.
Miles did a few things Saban never did. Bring in 3 top 5 classes in a row. Win back to back 11 win seasons Beat Auburn, UF and Alabama in the same year So get one kid who is no higher ranked then two of our Soph running backs already on the team or the above... Hmmm... Yeh I am pretty satisfied with him not here. Some say Saban built the race car, but we have a much better driver behind the wheel now. Based on stats and personality alone. Enough with the Saban threads. Saban is a great coach, did great things here will be do well for bama but Les Miles is our coach and he has taken what Saban started and made it considerably better. I am very happy with the way things turned out.
It does not matter now. Joe is gone to USC. But remember, if it were not for CLM, we probably would be short a QB for Louisiana who has indicated he would not be at LSU if Saban were still here. ldskule:
I'm a miles fan and I'll give you #2 and #3 but Miles hasn't had 3 top 5 classes in a row. This class is a good start though.
You may get a little heat for a comment like this. I'm sure someone can go back and find a ranking index in each of the past 3 years that have LSU ranked in the top 5. They fluctuate so much from one to the other it's easy to find one that ranks your team where you want. To me, it says more when several indexes have a similar ranking. For example, LSU's class is obviously a great class this year. So far the only ranking that I've found that doesn't have them in the top 5 is ESPN.
