Applewhite is freaking named after Major Ogilvie. The fact that he was born and raised in BR means nothing to him vis-a-vis LSU. He's 100% Bama.

I am far from convinced that Garrett is not the guy Miles should go to. He has only been coaching a year or two and hardly had a sterling career as a quarterback. In a 12 year period he only played in 40 games, and only 9 of those was as a starter. I really think LSU needs an OC with more coaching experience, and preferably someone with OC experience.

That's one busy plane. You guys see the history in the past week? Tallahassee, Louisville, Ft. Lauderdale, and Houston, all since CNS arrived. Hope they have a good sky miles program.

I sort of feel the same way, but I'm feeling more comfortable with it now than I was. Think about it this way, what he was physically able to do as a QB has no bearing on his ability to be a coach. In fact, most coaches weren't particularly great players. Also, the Clevelend Browns wanted to interview this guy for their OC position. When NFL teams want someone with this little experience as an OC you know that they have a lot of potential. Plus the guy went to Princeton so you know he is intelligent and since Miles is very familiar with the offensive side of the ball, he could help Garrett come along in the areas he isn't familiar with.

Crowton has been a bust? What are your standards for success? If you look at what Oregon has done offensively under him you cannot but help to be impressed. He would be a good choice.
