Max = Jackass. 2, 10-2 seasons, freakn Rose Bowl and thinks all of those coaches are better.....Please stop the insanity. Virginia Tech at our place; we will be a touchdown favorite.....which would be more than a 52% chance of winning. Not the best time to bash our coach. Get the F@$% OVER IT!:angryfire
Saban's forte was definitely defense, he was defensive assistant under Bill Belichick. Miles was an O lineman and his first coaching job was as an offensive coordinator under Bo so it stands to reason that he is more "Offensive" minded by nature of his experience.
Pelini needs to stop ever using the 3-3-5 package and definitely put some more pressure on the QB. Our corners aren't as good as he thinks they are (see Tennessee and Alabama games)
I absolutely became annoyed at all of the references of coach's better than ours and the tired old "Saban's talent" argument. Give it up already and enjoy yourself. There's never been a better time to be a Tiger fan.
I think an argument can be made that certain SEC coaches have shown themselves to be at least on par, if not superior (Richt, in a head to head SECCG absolutely dismantled LSU, and Tuberville can claim the only undefeated season in recent memory) but the argument that Nutt is a better coach is laughable. Regardless, it is not the time for such threads.
Three comments: 1. Hell will freeze over before LSU goes 6-7 next season. Pigs will fly. 2. If Miles ever starts having losing seasons, then I'll criticise his coaching, too. But as long as he's winning, it is reeeeally lame to do so. 3. Last year this time FightinTiger and Dutchtown Tiger were here demanding that dumb Russell be run off and dumb Miles be fired and predicted that we would all feel the same way this year. Where are those dumb guys, anyway?
This is not at all about why next year's schedule worries you. The schedule is fine - easier than this year's. The problem is your lack of faith in Miles, plain & simple. I am not going to go into whether Miles is a good coach or not, most of you already know my opinion on the matter. All I will say is that, if Miles is winning now - for whatever reason,(talent, coaching, both, whatever) - why is there reason to believe next year would be different & we suddenly won't be able to beat good teams? Our recruiting is as good as ever, talent level will be about the same, and I'm assuming we'll have the same coaches.
Agree and I was screaming for that during the bama game (at home) :thumb: It wasn't only Saban's blitzes but how he disguised them too. Most college qb's (except Tebow :hiih given the time, can make the throws.
It is hard to Predict what next year brings. We have key players in key positions without 100% assurance of who will be playing where next season. let's let the dust settle for this season first.... I only plan to focus on LSU matchup with hopefully another BCS opponent. :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
Kudos to you, Max ... for having the guts to post the truth. Miles is NOT a championship caliber coach, and he never will be, IMO. A coach like Spurrier would have this team (talent) playing for the crystal. We have an offensive-minded handicapped head coach, he's a former OL with an OL mentality. It doesn't get any simpler and more truthful than that last statement. OL are notorious for their stubborn ways Hey, 2005 & 2006 comparisons 1. Early season loss (stupid loss) to remove any NC shot. 2. Ass beating by SEC East champ. 3. NO CHAMPIONSHIP (SEC) EVEN THOUGH LSU HAD THE BEST SEC TALENT BOTH YEARS. Cue in the Auburn Lawn Chair ... Put Miles face on the skeleton ... Waiting on Championship .... You Kool-aid girls are gonna have a long wait if you're waiting for Miles to bring home the crystal.
