You can differ if you like, but one of the biggest knocks vs Miles is that he didn't get in the faces of the refs. He has been very mild mannered. That only changed as recently as the Tenn game. Go back and watch them all. People constantly compared his lack of fire to Saban's "in your face" style, and especially on this forum. I am thrilled that he acts differently now, as he will win the hearts of many LSU fans that tend to be a bit more hot tempered in general. I have no doubt that Miles actually listens to the reactions of the fans, even if he can't afford to admit it.

i'm getting really sick and tired of these naysayers talking down Les's first two season's like it's the least he could have done to win 10 games in his first 2 years and basically some bum on the street could have gotten that record with the talent this team possed this year. Their trump card is always what Saben would have absolutly done with this TOP 5 talent had he still been here and how if we just had an "above average coach" we would have without a doubt beaten all the teams we lost 2 in the past two years. It's just not that cut and dry, your comparring apples and oranges when you start saying junk like that. For instance nobody gave Mack Brown the props he deserved before they won the NC last year, in fact he was known as the coach that always chocked in the big games aka red river shootout and thebowl games. So then they win the NC last year and he's one of the greats. But wait a minute he loses his qb from last year and suddenly his top 5 talent, (the rest of the team) goes and loses 3 games this year. Granted Vince Young was an incredibly special player but which one is it? Is he a great coach cause he won the NC or is he back to the coach who can't win a close game (kansas state, texas a and m) I could go on and on Jim tressel won the NC in 2002 but the past couple years he's just been above average losing 2 to 3 games every year until now he's back in the NC. I guess my point about the whole deal is I'm not completly set on Miles, I was just as pissed as the next guy with the 2 ugly losses this year. But you know what? It hasn't even been 2 years so I'm not gonna pass final judgement either way at least for a nother year or 2. All I know is the man has gone 20-4 and had back to back 10 win seasons for the first time in LSU history and he's about to lead us to the Rose Bowl. I can already hear the naysayers saying how we got lucky with a bunch of teams losing in the last couple weeks to get into this position concerning the rose bowl and that it had nothing to do with Miles. WE'LL GUESS WHAT why don't you do your homework on the NC year of 03 last time I checked we were waiting till the we hours of that night to make sure like the 20'th other games besides ours went our way so that we got into the game. It's just a part of the college football game because of the current system. You usually have to be more than just good, you need a little luck as well:geauxtige:helmet:

you lost all credibility with this post. everyone knows what your opinion of miles is and has been. don't try and blow smoke up our collective asses just because we're going to the rose bowl.

in just comparing schedules, next year's will be easier than this year's. LSU had 4 road games 1 against a #8 team and three against top 5's this year.

next year our road games are all but guaranteed, and we have the tough ones at home.

if we went through this year with 2 losses, you would expect the same or better for next year, not worse.

if comes back, we are nat'l champ. contenders. if he doesn't then the SEC is a real possibility.

but if you're comparing this year to next, the schedules are pretty even.

Since 03' LSU is 27-2 in home games. And one of those was in Arizona. Take care of the easy road schedule and we will be in the hunt come next November. Get your LSU\Auburn tickets now. 10\20\07.
