1. You are welcome friend.

What's rhetorical mean? ;) One of them book learnin words...
  2. I nearly won the lottery tonight but I bought the wrong ticket.

My wife had a chance to get pregnant but she blew it.
  3. I'm sitting on my hands right now to suppress all of the dirty jokes trying to make their way into my keyboard.
  4. I remember that girlfriend I had from Lafayette.........I had to tell her that "Blow" was just an expression.
  5. *sigh I hate it when fans of a team start to do this. Look, Les is in his second season. He went 10-2 last year and is currently sitting at 9-2. Here are some other facts to consider before rushing to judgement:

-2005 season: Miles was first LSU coach to win against Alabama, Auburn, and Florida in the same year.
-2005 season: SEC championship game appearance.
-2005 season: 40-3 win against Miami in the Peach Bowl.
-2006 season: Away games AT Florida, AT Tennessee, AT Auburn, AT Arkansas....you CANNOT EXPECT to win all these games...especially with a year like this. Your schedule pretty much screwed you guys this year.

Also consider that next year, you will have Virginia Tech, South Carolina, Florida, Auburn, and Arkansas at home. The stars are aligning for you guys NEXT YEAR. Wait for it. If you got your way and fired Miles now, you will not be a contender for either the SEC championship or National Championship next year.

Now, I'm not saying Les should be a God. He obviously has issues with Special Teams and the big one... PENALTIES. One good thing about this game tonight is that there was only one fumble this game, and Russell threw zero interceptions. THIS IS GOOD, and *could* be a sign of progress (note the *could*....last year there were a few games like this as well)

LSU will be a national title contender next year if Les Miles:
    1. Gets new Special Teams Coordinators
    2. Fixes these penalties
    3. Is more consistent with little or no turnovers.

It can happen, and I would not doubt if it did.

    LSU fan by relation.
  6. I heard him say that, but I have the mental capacity to know that he was only kidding.

What's even stanger then that is that he referred to Arkansas as 'R-Kansas'. It sounded odd the first time, but then he said it again. He was probably trying to be funny, but it just sounded odd and out of place in that particular conversation

  7. That's a great first post! Welcome to the board. i agree with you, i just wish others could see it like that too instead of constantly calling for everyone's head.
  8. True. I have never in my life seen as many fans this miserable after a WIN! It was the same way when we beat Tennessee. No one is above criticism, but enjoy the dramatic win and at least save it for when we lose. Since winning the NC in '03, the expectation level of some of the people calling themselves fans are beyond unrealistic. Agree that the game shouldn't have been that close, but fire him coming off back to back 9 possibly 10 win seasons? Put down the pipe and re-join reality. :dis:
  9. Thanks Tyga,

it feels a lot like when everyone was calling for JoePa's head up here after two bad seasons in a row. If they had succeeded in that, we wouldn't have had that Big Ten championship and Orange Bowl win last year.

Do people honestly want to know what bad is?

Bad is John L. Smith who has excellent talent but always finds a way to squander a game.

Bad is Larry Coker who recruits good players who are absolute trash and does not control them.

Bad are John Bunting and Chuck Amato who have an amazing pool of talent that they cannot seem to work.

Firing Les Miles is just asking for people like this.
  10. Man, you are really clueless.
