become a freak show. They have all kinds of talk shows with losers like Spitz Holtz. It was once a sports network, with sports programming 24/7. Now it is another CNN/FOX/MSNBC "sports news" network, with a bunch of yahoo's spinning their opinions. It is sickening!!! And Spitz Holtz, after claiming Sat morning that AU was one of the top 5 teams in the country, claims that WV is one of the top 5 in the country. What a crock!! Anyway, just venting about their lousy programming. :geauxtige
I agree. I don't know why ESPN's programming has become so devoid of intelligent analysis and commentary. The "sideshow interviews" and other irrelevant features that they cover during the games is clearly designed to appeal to the non-sports fan that may be viewing . . . but the attempt only serves to annoy the sports fans. :nope:
I was in the doctor's office this week and picked up a copy of ESPN The Magazine. Terrible, just terrible, same old cr@p they spew on the telly.
You right, but at least they got rid of Trev,Georgia is the best team in the SEC every year, Alberts. I hated that SOB!
And it's not just the talk shows that are ruining ESPN. Two weeks ago I was looking for an NFL game to watch on Sunday, and the had figure skating on!!!:angryfire What man in his right frame of mind would watch that and WHY is it on a "24/7/365" sports channel. Instead I had to suffer through a Texans game on the local channel.:geauxtige
Well, like I was saying. From the Total sports network to the talking heads sports network.o: And their talking heads suck!!!!:angryfire
ESPN is also behind the, IMO undesereved rise of the Big East into prominence. They are so politically correct...it makes them mediocre and absolutely predictable. Lou Holtz is about most inane commentator on the planet. They set up Lou and Mark May to be adversaries...They try hard to act like they just can't agree and it's a big deal. It's embarassing to watch...God awful! :tigerhead
I agree. It really looks like they have Holtz reading from que (sp) cards. NO way the man has enough intelligence to come up with some of the things he says.
this one may be just a pet peeve, but I'm sick of the way their marketing department is forcing crap down our throats. Ohio State vs Michigan, one of the great rivalries of all time, playing as number 1 vs number 2. Good enough for me, I don't need some marketing clown to declare it "Judgement Day" for me to get excited about it.
