IF he thinks he wont play, then he should transfer to the best place he can start. he's too good and proven to go to AA or a low-level program like nall did though.
this is my opinion: If JR stays - 90% chance of transferring If JR leaves - 25% chance of transferring As far as OU. I think that's BS
If Flynn transfered to OU he would have to sit out a year and would have no eligibility left, so unless he just wants a degree from OU he would be ending his college football career. In order to play next year he would have to transfer to a division II shcool. Remember he redshirted his freshman year and will be a 5th year senior next year, meaning no more eligibility after next season.
You speak as though LSU's football team is far better than Oklahoma's. Oklahoma is a crooked ref's call away from being ranked just ahead of us. And that's without their QB and RB.
Ryan Smith so far is the best example of this rule. He transferred to Florida after graduating from Utah and starts as a db for Florida. Here is an article about it. http://www.pensacolanewsjournal.com...=/20061109/SPORTS0101/611090350/1012/SPORTS01
Why are we dismissing the QB for OU? Is he permanently banned from playing at OU now? I thought it was just for this season?
I agree with this statement. I dont see Flynn transferring to OU at all. I have never heard of the rule about graduating and then transferring. To my knowledge he would have to sit out a year if he transferred to OU. If JR does come back, I can see Flynn going to a division 2 school like Nall did to play. I certainly cant fault him for that because he has to look out for his future. I hope he stays here and gets a chance to start next season though (assuming JR goes to NFL).
